I Became the Obsessed Boss’ Darling: Ch 16

At the end of the speech. the Elder Bo family leader came up to extend his greetings. Afterwards the banquet reached an end.

“Hey! Ye shadow. Are you a pig, hurry up!” A force slapped Ye Xian on the shoulder, waking her up. Ye Xian’s first reaction is to wipe her lips to make sure she didn’t drool. “Are we done? Can we go?”

“Go where? You’re not eating? Because of leader, Chairman Bo invited us to the private family banquet afterwards. Let’s go!” Cary pulled her up.

Lin Yan passed her a napkin. There really was drool.

As soon as Cary mentioned dinner, Ye Xian’s stomach growled.

“You sure are brave. President was up there giving a speech and you’re taking a nap? You were sitting in the front row.”

“So?”

What was the correlation between his sleep and her nap? It wasn’t like he was speaking to her.

“That’s true. You’re Ye shadow. As long as it’s not Jiang leader, you’re afraid of nothing.”

Ye Xian rolled her eyes. “I’m warning you. Don’t call me shadow again!”

“I’m going to keep calling you that, or else what? Ye Shadow. Ye Shadow.” Cary shamelessly widened his eyes, provoking her.

“Or else I’ll hit you until you call me ‘Father!'”

“I don’t believe you. You have no upper body strength. The most you can do is tickle. Are you sure you’re not a woman?”

“You look like you need a beating!”

cough cough. Lin Yan coughed to warn them.

Only then did Cary and Ye Xian notice that they had reached the Bo family banquet room. Under the glistening lavish chandeliers laid a long carved dining table. At the head of the seat sat the birthday man, the elder Bo head of family. On his side was his eldest son, his daughter-in-law, and his eldest grandson Bo Tingshen. Further down was Jiang Wanze with other relatives. They were all watching her fight with Cary.

The person that was sleeping early sure looked lively now.

Cary brushed the bit of dirt off Ye Xian’s blazer. He embarrassedly lowered his head. Ye Xian also followed suit, feeling awkward.

Elder Bo was kind about it. “Wanze, are these your team mates? They are all outgoing.”

“Yes, grandpa.”

Jiang Wanze’s face looked cold and nonchalent, probably because the teammates included Ye Xian.

Because Elder Bo didn’t truly approve of Jiang Wanze, Jiang Wanze never told him about Ye Xian pestering him. He wanted to keep up the image of the good harmless grandson.

“Don’t just stand there! Everyone sit down. This is a family dinner, no need feel constrained.”

Although Elder Bo was a senior, he was still high-spirited and friendly. He didn’t seem like someone who would care about someone’s family background.

But Jiang Wanze’s seating arrangement clearly showed that there was a hierarchy of favoritism.

Ye Xian picked up a quail egg. While eating, her gaze looked at Elder Bo and Jiang Wanze in confusion. As she turned her head….

Bo Tingshen looked over. Ye Xian stiffened, gulping down the quail egg in haste. She had a small throat. The quail egg quickly got stuck. In a rush, she picked up the red wine glass in front of her and downed it.

cough cough cough!

The wine was bitter. After drinking it all, Ye Xian’s face turned red. When she finally lifted her head, eyes reddened with tears, she saw that everyone at the table was looking at her. Besides Bo Tingshen.

Cary was smiling wickedly.

Sitting next to her, Cheng Jingmei held back her disgust. She quickly shifted away from Ye Xian. Was Ye Xian a ghost that died of hunger? How could she eat without any manners?
